On Dec. 2, the University of Maryland School of Pharmacy will be hosting a special symposium on "Standards in the Biopharmaceutical Industry: The Role of Standards and Regulatory Science in the Characterization of Biopharmaceuticals." The symposium is sponsored by Waters Corporation and the University of Maryland Center of Excellence in Regulatory Science and Innovation, a collaborative grant from the Food and Drug Administration to the School of Pharmacy and the University of Maryland College Park, and will be held in Pharmacy Hall at 20 North Pine Street in Baltimore from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Topics to be covered include regulatory review of biologic complexity, the industry need for standards, the role of regulatory science, antibody drug conjugates and analytical challenges, and more.
